TOGETHER WE ARE FIT FOR THE LONG RUN
It’s for all who don’t just ski, but who love to ski.
For every skier who makes each run one to remember.
And for the people who pass their powder-packed hearts down from one generation to the next. We’re for any and every skier who lives for all-mountain adventure.
This goes out to the boots and the skis that take us out on journeys farther than we ever thought we could go, and bring us closer together than we ever believed we could be.
Together we have created family and fellowship.
Even in the wind-blown face of adversity, we have never given up and we have never given in.
Here’s to following our own compass no matter where it takes us. To doing things our way.
We are Nordica. Trusted since 1939.

If I omit the final brushing step will that slow me down a bit? I am not an experienced skier. ⛷
Merci 👍
Am I correct that the Spitfire line replaced the Firearrow line?
Support lt family businesses like these! Great owners.
By far the best ski wax tutorial on the internet. Thank you!!! 👊
Lame, no other word for it. OK skiing except for the gal in green. Examiner? OMG, lousy narrative. I'm a Level III with a 40 year pin. This is embarrassing.
What about weight? Strength? How hard you can push on the ski. Great skiers go longer. Define great skier! Slalom, trees, moguls???
Nordica, you have to do better than this. You are associating your name to them. The problem is, no one will notice.
Dynamic short turns? He isnt even making technically correct parralt turns. Everything they say is double talking, gobble gook. Better known a BS. She is a horrible skier and shes an examiner!
First one. Useless. It does not train the correct muscles and center of balance. This is horrific teaching. Just because they say so, doesn't make it so. Hop turns. Once you know how to ski correctly, you can do anything you want. You don't teach what people can figure out themselves. The problem is, you don't teach them how to ski correctly. These short turns are, again, show with no how. Heel thrust, heel thrust, heel thrust. This is all useless. For an examiner, she is far from a technically correct skier. This is a total waste of time. Just like the PSIA.
If I were examining I would use "The New Way to Ski" as my model to determine success. My observation is all skiers lack sufficiently well defined and timed early weight transfer. I look for several important clues as to how stance, alignment, skeletal stacking and ski/ snow reaction work together. Legs remain parallel to each other with no change in the width of the stance or 'A' framing. Movement of the inside half of the body up and forward at the weight transfer (hip leveling... hip hike). These are great skiers so I know for sure they are consciously working with these issues in their own skiing. Get with Karen Harjo... she will fix this fast.
Agree 100% Cheerski!
How about make a technically correct carved turn to a stop instead of a prehistoric twisting hockey stop? I mean this is 2024. A thousand steps do not teach a student how to position their upper body and balance on the turning ski to allow the ski to make the turn for you. This is just a gimmick, not ski teaching. Side slip. You don't use your feet; you use your shoulder and hip balance with a lean into the hill with your knees. What happens to your boots is a byproduct of those things. You don't teach the byproducts. You teach the moves that create them. Plus, as if it could get worse, you are thrusting your feet down the hill to get the feet out from under you to create the lower leg angle that is putting the skis on edge. 100% incorrect. It is the leaning of the knees into the hill that gets it done. 4:10 It is the positioning of your shoulders and hips that allow you to be balanced on the downhill ski when you lean your knees into the hill. Which, you didn't even reference. You concentrated on the knees and feet only. The PSIA is 100% wrong as usual. Skating down the fall line. Another useless trick that has nothing to do with skiing. The more complicated that make skiing, the more you need them. $$$ Traverse bumps. Showing with no telling how. What do I think about? What parts of the body do I use? What image do I create to allow my legs to do this? Bumps! As you can see with the girl in the green, even instructors need to be taught how to pass this test but knowing how to ski bumps. That wasn't taught here. Funnel turns. More show with no tell. Most of the candidates will be skiing incorrectly to start off with. If have to teach them what to do. There was no teaching here. Again! I don't know who that woman in green is, but she needs some serious ski lessons. Oh wait! She's an EXAMINER???? Why am I not surprised. This is what instructors are paying for when they seek a useless PSIA level badge. 12:25 There is only WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, no, HOW, HOW, HOW! do you know why that is? Because they don't know HOW to teach you the HOW or they would have. Short Radius Turns. The way he emphasized "Radius" I though he just might teach you something correctly. Nope! Those where just heal thrusts. Notice that his skis only went straight to the right and then straight to the left. There were no bent ski radius turns to be found. Not one round turn between them. 14:18 Better but of course, the teaching was incorrect. Nordica! Really?
The shape of this "NEW 3D black cork liner" (1:03) is a complete fail. Its upper end, shaped as a signifcant backward angle, is like a piece of wood or iron pushing into your shin. Unbelievable scrap, which, same as most trouble with ski boots, you of course don't yet notice while trying on in a shop.
Should I wax new nordica enforcers or ski as is?
Please do Playlist for your Videos. (The Process and The Process Ski boots) It's difficult and annoying to find all the parts yourself :-(
The only thing you need to know is do not argue or be a jerk. A monkey could pass a level one exam.
Bereits getestet und für top befunden. Ab Oktober 24 bei uns. www.sport-martin.com Wir sind NORDICA Spezialist.
Oh my god, Michael forever and ever I picked on people about this. I promise to send this link to everyone of my skier friends who continue to carry their skis like a dork
Thank you Nordica! Great prep video, much appreciated!
I am level 2 Austrian instructor, and I must say.... DAMN your requirements are quite abit different. - And with all the respect yours seem kinda easy.
A great shop and a terrific story!
Amazing video!
Andi, thank you for giving us the permission to share your story with the world! Stoked to have Nordica’s support to create content like this!
Such an honor to tell this story!
I bought a pair of HF 110 today and I couldn’t believe how good they felt! So glad you bought rear entries back ❤
E dopo poco tempo dal rientro, il 16 Dicembre 2023, ha vinto la libera in Val Gardena! Mi sono commosso... Grazie Domme!
I missed the point of "double the core". Was there one there?
Great video Michael. Love the back ground of the Minarets so you are clearly in Mammoth. I taught there for 6 years for Max Good and Gary Berger.(RIP). My good friend is Gary Posekian. Keep up the great work!
What a pity it's gripwalk.
So what I assume is that the skiing assessments are in addition to technical questions, and demonstrating the ability to teach different levels of classes. Is that true?
PSIA level 3 assessment is broken into two parts on separate days, Teach and Ski. Most people fail one or both, because each exam is scrutinized individually. Ripping skiers often neglect the precision needed to pass the teach portion. Great teachers may not be as tight and precise in their skiing. Or come unprepared and fail both. It's definitely a journey to pass level three.
Enforcer 104 free is my daily driver in Big Sky, Montana. Does everything great.
That is the ski I have and it is an amazing ski.. My only issue is that it is really easy to get over confident on the ski... The ski can handle anything but I can't;)
Love my Enforcer 94. Even for Europeen groomers, the first choice, when the slopes are not icy....
*Promo sm* 🌹
Such a great shop!
Very cool!!
my left ear really knows how to size a ski now, thanks!
Девушка, руку уводит назад!
She does everything wrong.
Great skiing!
Yep! A "long way from Hunter!"
Stoked to ski it this winter
'Michael Rogaine', love the 'doo!
How big are the bumps you are talking?
This is great content. If only a certain professional ski instructor organization would make videos like this.
This is a great comment. If only certain comment posters would have the balls to not act like cowards and say what they are hinting at..... HUH?
Everything in all three videos is 100% wrong. My 55 years of teaching says so.
@@JB91710Please do enlighten us!
I hope you guys make one for the Teach exams too! These are awesome!
In our division examiners normally have candidates do these on flat terrain. IMO, makes the task a bit more difficult!
I was taught you do the ankle buckle first then the top and then strap then the two buckles over you foot.
Nice “hair”
Hopefully these won't be too hard to get as we all know nordica hasn't given a damn about their top sheet designs in years. Really been missed.
so after we removed all wax, what was the point of waxing? just asking, I dont get ti? Thanks
Why isn't this available in Japan this year?
